February 5, 2005: "Fete duBon Vieux Temps" at Cahokia
Courthouse, Cahokia, with Colonial Mardi Gras celebration. Includes tours,
activities and demonstrations-many with a Lewis and Clark theme - at all
four Colonial Cahokia historic sites.
May 14, 2005: "Annual Lewis & Clark Departure Day" Lewis & Clark
State Historic Site, Hartford, (activities to be announced)
December 7, 2005: "Lewis & Clark's Arrival Anniversary"at Cahokia
Courthouse, the anniversary celebration of the explorers' arrival in
Cahokia.
December 12, 2005: "Annual Event of the Arrival at Camp River
Dubois" at Lewis & Clark State Historic Site, Hartford. Witness the
arrival of the Lewis & Clark Expedition as re-enactors arrive at the mouth
of the River Dubois to establish their 1803-04 Winter Encampment. Join
members of the Corps in a military demonstration of 1803 US Army
Expedition. Visitors can experience camp life in early frontier Illinois
and watch demonstrations of period crafts and skills.
